Kids for I.T. 2019 (Week 1)

STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education. By combining these important topics students will utilize their problem solving and critical thinking skills helping to prepare for their future. At Kids for IT, we will explore all aspects of STEM while “playing”. Students will explore water bottle rockets, K’Nex sail cars. Students will dabble in computer programming (through building their own app),computer networking (by building a LAN and playing MinecraftEDU on it), and PC troubleshooting/repair. Each participant will receive a PC/Mobile Device Repair Kit.

Blast Off with STEM! Camp 2019

At this 4 day STEM camp, campers will learn about rockets, how they work and their applications. They will engage in several activities that will help them better understand Newton’s Third Law and how it applies to rocket propulsion. The campers will even get a chance to build their own model rockets and launch them! Get ready to blast off!

Participants in this camp will have in-depth experiences with MinecraftEdu,PC Troubleshooting/Repair, Cyber Security, Programming/Coding, and the ability to explore a topic of their own (3D design/printing, Rockets, Legos, K'Nex, Ozobots, Role-playing games, movie production/green screening, etc.) during our daily Genius Hour. Students will receive a PC/Mobile device repair kit.
