Below is a list of camps that will be available this summer. Times and dates will be added, as soon as they become available!!
Techsploration 2018 at the Seneca Highlands CTC
While experiencing this exciting, activity-driven week, students will gain real world skills that cannot only survive an onslaught of zombies but will give insights into the world of technical careers. Age appropriate, (non-scary) hands-on activities, simulations, and interactivities will ensure a rewarding educational experience and lots of fun!
Kids for IT at the Seneca Highlands CTC
STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education. By combining these important topics, students will utilize their problem solving and critical thinking skills helping to prepare for their future. At Kids for IT, we will explore all aspects of STEM while "playing". Students will explore water bottle rockets, K'Nex sail cars, drones, robots and circuitry. Students will also dabble in computer programming (through building their own app) and computer networking (by building a LAN and playing MinecraftEdu on it). Each participant will receive an Ozobot, a tiny programmable robot, which will be theirs to take home at the conclusion of the camp.
T.M.I. (Think, Make, Improve) at Northern Potter School District
Participants in this camp will have in-depth experiences with MinecraftEdu, Linux Lubuntu Operating System, Programming/Coding, Microcontrollers, Geocaching, and the ability to explore a topic of their own (3D design/printing, Drones, Rockets, Legos, K'Nex, Ozobots, Role-playing games, movie production/green screening, etc.) during our daily Genius Hour. Students will receive an official Raspberry Pi beginner kit at the end of the experience.
STEM Camps at Austin Area School District
These camps will focus on the four pillars that make up STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
