Each year, the Education Council offers STEM related camp programs for middle school and high school students. These camps help students to gain knowledge in areas of interest, as well as, giving them options to consider for college careers.

Think, Make, Improve 2019 (Week 1)

Participants in this camp will have in-depth experiences with MinecraftEdu,PC Troubleshooting/Repair, Cyber Security, Programming/Coding, and the ability to explore a topic of their own (3D design/printing, Rockets, Legos, K'Nex, Ozobots, Role-playing games, movie production/green screening, etc.) during our daily Genius Hour. Students will receive a PC/Mobile device repair kit.

Summer Educator in the Workplace 2019

Educator in the Workplace is a hands-on opportunity for educators to spend time at a place of business to connect their subject area with challenges, new technologies, and use academic skills and knowledge in the workplace. The program connects classroom learning with relevant business practices to prepare students for careers in the 21st century. Act 48 eligibility and $300 stipend.

Creative Solution Finding - UPB (Summer 2019)

Get Lost in Space STEM Camp 2019 (Grades 3-6)

Engineering Challenge Camp 2019 (Grades 7-12)

Do you have what it takes to be an engineer? Given various problems, you and your group will brainstorm solutions, build and test your prototypes, and redesign them as needed to complete the task. Each task will require creative thinking, innovative solutions, teamwork, and multiple iterations of your design. The group with the best solutions will be crowned the Engineering Champions.

Kids for I.T. 2019 (Week 1)

STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education. By combining these important topics students will utilize their problem solving and critical thinking skills helping to prepare for their future. At Kids for IT, we will explore all aspects of STEM while “playing”. Students will explore water bottle rockets, K’Nex sail cars. Students will dabble in computer programming (through building their own app),computer networking (by building a LAN and playing MinecraftEDU on it), and PC troubleshooting/repair. Each participant will receive a PC/Mobile Device Repair Kit.
