If you are "photographically challenged," this class is for you! Bring your digital camera, and professional photographer Curt Weinhold will help you make sense of that confusing menu system. You will learn how to set up your camera for your particular situation. As time permits, you will be introduced to some simple editing software, so you can properly edit your images.

Silk Scarves: Exploring Surface Design (9.19.17)

Participants will learn techniques using both dyes and paints while creating two silk scarves during this FOUR-session workshop. No prior experience with either painting or design is needed, Teaching Artist Julie Mader will guide her students step-by-step so that they will be able to repeat the processes on their own after completion of the sessions.

Felted Christmas Stocking - Port Allegany (10.5.17)

Calling all beginner and intermediate knitters; learn to make and felt a Christmas stocking! This stocking will be large enough to hang or use as a door decoration. And if you ever thought about knitting socks, this project provides a good basic pattern on how a sock is constructed. Participants will learn to knit and purl, cast on, cast off, and pick up stitches. You will also learn how to felt (wash in hot water.) Felting is a good method to use for beginners, because when you felt the stocking, it wil cover up most mistakes. Supplies are included in the cost of the class.
