ServSafe is a certification program developed by the Restaurant Association Education Foundation. The course meets certification requirements for individuals who are responsible for the safe handling of food in restaurants, schools, elder care facilities, lodges, bed & breakfasts, community centers, and other food concessions (organizations or businesses that sell or prepare food on a regular basis). The exam will follow immediately after class.

T.M.I. (Think, Make, Improve) IT Camp (Week 2)

Participants in this camp will have in-depth experiences with MinecraftEdu, Linux Lubuntu Operating System, Programming/Coding, Microcontrollers, Geocaching, and the ability to explore a topic of their own (3D design/printing, Drones, Rockets, Legos, K'Nex, Ozobots, Role-playing games, movie production/green screening, etc.) during our daily Genius Hour. Students will receive an official Raspberry Pi beginner kit at the end of the experience.

NPRC Blueprint Reading (July 2018)

This class provides non-engineering personnel with a reivew of the basics of print reading and intermediate interpretation skills. It focuses on accurately extrapolating key details from prints that relate to the cost of manufacturing. It introduces the universal media concepts and a review of print essentials followed by principles and applications of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

Electronic Engineering STEM Camp (Austin)

In this two day electronic engineering camp, we'll use a micro:bit go to build and program a microcomputer. The micro:bit go comes with a 5x5 LED matrix, a 3-axis digital accelerometer that can be used to control games, two programmable buttons, and a built in electromagnetic compass. This camp is for STEM enthusiasts of all ability and knowledge levels. You'll learn the basics of electronic engineering and go home with your very own micro computer that can be rebuilt, re-engineered, and reprogrammed.
