SOC 110 Introduction to Sociology 3 credit hours
This course emphasizes the systematic study of human social activity with focus on the
characteristics of human group life as it relates to the structure of the social environments,
institutions, and organizations and their influences on the individual, as well as the manner
in which individuals shape the group life of the social environments, institutions, and
organizations to which they belong. It also develops a greater capacity to assess, interpret, and evaluate the social world.
