ENG 210 Business and Professional Communication
3 credit hours
Prerequisite: ENG 110
This course develops advanced communication skills used in professions, business, and
industry. The course progressively builds upon the concept of writing as a process and applies
the concept to career-related writing and oral presentation skills for internal and external
audiences within an organization with a focus on revision, organization, clarity, sensitivity to
audience and purpose, editing and grammar, and the logical progression of ideas in such
projects. In addition, this course develops research skills, the proper use of sources and
citations, and requires the completion of a research paper. This course is aligned with NPRC Career Services Outcomes.
