CRJ 110 Introduction to Criminal Justice 3 credit hours
This course introduces students to the field of the American criminal justice system through the
examination of police, courts, and corrections. It includes a review of historical data, statistical
information, and evaluation of criminal justice system policies, procedures, and trends.
Students learn the terminology of the field, gain an awareness of the methods of inquiry used
in the field, and examine attitudes and values regarding crime and responses to crime. This
course is aligned with NPRC Career Services Outcomes.
